Christian Clowning Leader: John & Susan Burns John and I have been clowns for 25 years. We began our training with the first Show Me Clown Conference in Columbia. This conference has now grown in to a national training conference for clowns and draws people from all over the U.S. We feel led to do mostly program type clowning where we would clown at an meeting of some type where there is a program (VBS program, nursing home program, church worship services, etc.). Our clowning is not just for children; however we do do some clowning with children's groups. We do some walk arounds like at Block Party events, etc. but that is not really are area of expertise. We can do some balloons, and a little illusion and of course, we can act silly. Ha. We do have a puppet stage and have a grandma and lion puppet that we can do skits with but we do not do long programs with this. Our clowning programs are usually less than 20 minutes and can be a short as 15. If people are interested in having us, we do not take money for our ministry; however, we do support a Baptist missionary who is doing work in Siberia (he was the missionary I lived with in Belarus in 2006) and still works some in Belarus so we would accept a love offering for him.
